As difficult as buying a back-up striker for Harry Kane must be for Tottenham Hotspur, they have not done a very good job in recent seasons.
Dutch international Vincent Janssen did a dismal job as the next cab off the Spurs rank last season and the summer transfer window saw the arrival of Fernando Llorente, who has 24 caps for Spain.
The experienced target man has good pedigree and enjoyed an impressive campaign to haul Swansea out of trouble last term but he has been yet another transfer dud for Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentine is a brilliant developer of players but his record when he dips into the transfer market for experience is not anywhere near as impressive, as signings such as Moussa Sissoko and Serge Aurier also bear out.
That means that when Llorente was linked with a move back to Spain with Atletic Bilbao, the club he spent eight years with between 2005 and 2013, Spurs fans were overjoyed.
